FIELD: machine engineering, namely formation of convex and concave lands on tubular blanks of any size in multipurpose equipment. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of freely mounting tubular blank onto shaped mandrel, rotating said mandrel and applying deforming effort from outside. Installation for performing the method includes shaped mandrel with convex or concave relieves, rolling-around roller respectively with concave or convex lands reciprocal relative to relieves of said mandrel at taking into account thickness of tubular blanks; stop mounted with possibility of reciprocation motion in mutually normal directions.
