FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes pouring metal into intermediate ladle, transferring it then into mold through refractory metal conduit, and drawing blanks accompanied with their rotation relative to each other. Mold is impelled to reciprocate at specified angle and with frequency which is calculated from equation: Φ = (300-900)/a min-1 where a is rotation angle which, for rounds 0.5 m in diameter, equals 10-25 deg. and is decreased by 10-25% per each 0.1 m of decrease in diameter. EFFECT: improved casting process stability and reduced power consumption.
