FIELD: agricultural engineering; stores for fertilizers. SUBSTANCE: carbon steel reservoir is designed for storing liquid nitrogen fertilizers with use of light covering liquid not mixing with fertilizer which reduces corroding of reservoir walls on fertilizer-air border. Reservoir of proposed design reduced required amount of covering liquid whose cost considerably exceeds the cost of liquid nitrogen fertilizer. Screen is installed with clearance at inner side walls of reservoir. Screen separates wall space from inner space of reservoir. Wall space is open from top and bottom for communication with inner space of reservoir. Reservoir is provided with means for delivering covering liquid into wall space. Floating layer of covering liquid is formed only in wall space adjacent to inner side walls of reservoir. According to one of design versions, walls of pontoon pointed to reservoir walls are used as screen. EFFECT: reduced cost of storing, and consumption of covering liquid. 6 cl, 6 dwg
