SUBSTANCE: present invention describes pyrazine derivative which has antagonistic activity against glutamate receptor of formula: wherein Z is C or N provided that two Z are not simultaneously nitrogen atoms; R₁ is represented by formula: wherein is or is R⁶ is H or alkyl, and R⁷ and R⁸ are each H, alkyl, nitro or phenyl as alternative; R⁷ and R⁸, when taken together, are butadienylene or 1,4- butylene; R² and R³ are each H, F, cyano, acyl, nitro, alkyl, morpholinoor one of definitions given above for R¹; R⁴ and R⁵ are both H, hydroxy, alkylcycloalkyl, heterocycle, phenyl or Y-substituted alkyl; Y is hydroxy, acryloxy; F is substituted methyl, cycloalkyl, tetrahydrofuranyl, carboxy, alkoxycarbonyl or ; R⁹ and R¹⁰ are each H or alkyl or as alternative; R⁹ and R¹⁰ taken together are 5- or 6- membered cyclic group which contains oxygen atoms.
