SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of measuring rate of charge descending in points along radius of furnace mouth in boundaries of equal-area annular zones; determining root-mean-square deviations of rate values in said points and mean values of root-mean-square deviations of charge descending rate in each zones and along the whole section of furnace mouth; determining ore load in each zone according to relation: PH3m= σw3mn
