FIELD: production of pig iron. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes determination of profile of burden by periodic observation by radiolocation profile meter of burden surface. Novelty consists in additional determination of current value of radiosignal reflection factor, calculation of current value of angle of incidence of radio beam to burden surface, comparison of above-mentioned current values with preliminarily computed values of reflection factors for different materials at different angles of incidence of radio beam and determination of kind of material in any zone of surface at the moment of their equality. EFFECT: provision of monitoring and control of distribution of burden materials on top of blast furnace with consideration of determination of kind of burden component. 3 dwg
