SUBSTANCE: method of strengthening cutting tool by plasma arc comprises steps of exciting plasma arc between anode of non-evaporating material and part being cathode; connecting said electrodes to the same power source by placing anode on bottom of bath with electrolyte and approaching cathode to said electrolyte; heating said part by plasma arc until quenching temperature, immersing it to electrolyte at deenergizing electric circuit.
