FIELD: protection of water basin banks. SUBSTANCE: this relates to preventing erosion of underwater part of bank slope. According to method, attached to multiple-tier spacious load-bearing structure having guide eye-lugs on each tier are strips of floating material which are assembled into bundles secured to flexible ropes which are inserted into guide eye-lugs. Load-bearing structure with flexible ropes and bundles of strips is lowered to water basin bottom. Bottom ground is liquified by means of pressure-forced water stream and vibration of load-bearing structure. Then aforesaid structure is lowered to liquified ground below level of wave action upon bottom ground, and lower parts of ropes with bundles of strips are secured in ground by compacting it through vibration of load-bearing structure, delivery of consolidating solution to ground and anchoring. After that, load-bearing structure is removed from water basin with passing ropes with bundles of strips through eye-lugs. Ropes are cut off at level of water basin surface. In result, created is underwater bank slope consolidated by artificial algae. EFFECT: high efficiency. 1 cl, 7 dwg
