FIELD: hydroelectric power engineering. SUBSTANCE: power plant has vertical supporting structures with fastening members, electric generators, and hydromotor coupled with them through gear transmission and made in the form of bladed rotor, bearing supports for mounting the rotor, and near-bottom cofferdam; power plant is also provided with counter-poises; hydromotor- to-generator transmission is effected by means of reduction gears and near-bottom cofferdam is made in the form of slab; bearing supports are, essentially, cushions; supporting structures are driven in river-channel soil and bearing cushions are placed between them for limited displacement downward and unlimited upward; rotor is floating structure; its blades are set horizontally or inclined, or in herringbone manner and bent to form obtuse angle in sectional area; rotor is mounted in bearing cushions by means of its internal hollow semi-axles each carrying hinged reduction gear, counter-poises, and electric generator whose power cable is pulled through axle hollow to be brought out from rotor to power consumer; near-bottom slab is joined to bearing cushions through links to ensure joint displacement.
