FIELD: hydraulic power engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed station designed for converting river flow energy can be installed on any rivers for operation all year round. Hydroelectric station has structure installed in river bed consisting of foundation plate, side walls and deck with space for reduction gear with electric generator over place of mounting of hydraulic wheel. Structure before water diversion is provided with icebreaker support and boom nets, and side walls from side of water inlet and its outlet are provided with widened parts forming, respectively, converging tube, working and diffuser channels. One of side walls has sector semi-round cutout in working channel for hydraulic wheel which is installed in bearing units over river bottom and lower than low edge of predicted ice cover respectively, low bearing unit in foundation plate and upper one, in deck. Hydraulic wheel is made hollow, consisting of two parallel horizontal disks rigidly installed on shaft with blades uniformly spaced over periphery between horizontal disks. Length of blades does not exceed 2/3rd of wheel radius. Blades are installed at angle from 0 to 180 deg relative to wheel. Several wheels with their reduction gears and electric generators can be installed in working channel of hydroelectric station. Working channel is provided with gates and pumping plant at water inlet and outlet. EFFECT: improved reliability of operation, provision of power generation all year round. 5 cl, 2 dwg
