FIRST-AID OUTFIT FOR MOTOR-CAR DRIVER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; prophylaxis and arresting lethal outcomes during road accidents. SUBSTANCE: hitherto, conventional first-aid outfit used by motor-car drivers in Russia comprised following items: sterile and non-sterile wound-dressing means, bactericidal adhesive tape, hemostatic cord, Validol (methyl valerate), alcoholic iodine solution, ammoniacal solution, scissors. According to present invention, it is recommended that first-aid outfit would henceforward comprise following additional items: non-narcotic analgetics, such as, e. g. Analginum (metapyrin) and Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), local-action hypothermic means, such as, e.g. portable hypothermic package-container, means adapted to protect wound surface, e.g. adhesive tape, cotton wool, local-action hemostatic means, e.g. Collatex-gel with addition of Furagin, or Collagen-impregnated sponges or films, or Statin, artificial breathing device, such as, e.g. "mouth-device- mouth" device, stress-relieving means, such as, e.g. Corvalol, intoxication- abating means, such as, e.g. Enterodesis or activated carbon, vasodilator and antischemic means, such as, e. g. Nitroglycerin (glyceryl trinitrate), antiseptic means, e.g. atraumatic bandage impregnated with bactericidal agents, e.g. with Dioxin or silver nitrate, solutions of antiseptic agents, such as, e.g. iodine or brilliant green, antibacterial means for disinfecting and preventing inflammations in eye region, such as, e.g. sodium sulphacyl solution. All above-listed items are contained in plastic box. Said hemostatic cord is cord adapted to stop bleedings by applying doses compression to patient. EFFECT: proposed first-aid outfit is constituted in such manner as to offer first-aid means for combatting pain, infection, intoxication, respiratory standstill and stresses.
