FIELD: transport engineering; trolley-buses and similar vehicles. SUBSTANCE: current collector consists of bows slipping in motion of vehicle along supply and ground wires. Current collecting bows are rigidly secured to housing in which follower is installed. Follower moves freely along guide conductor . Cheeks are provided to prevent derailing of follower from guide conductor. Housing is rigidly secured on strip connected with axle installed in hole of rod for self- alignment in movement of vehicle. Novelty is division of current collecting head into guide and current collecting parts and provision of additional guide conductor. Additional guide conductor makes it possible to transfer main load from contact system to guide conductor, thus decreasing wear of contact system. Use of follower, for instance, rollers, makes it possible to increase driving speed. Transfer of direction of rod movement to guide makes it possible to decrease by half the number of switches, crossings, etc which are removed from contact system and are mounted on guide. Guide conductor takes part of weight of contact system, thus decreasing its sagging. EFFECT: reduced wear of contact system and its sagging, increased speed, improved reliability. 3 cl, 2 dwg
