FIELD: railway transport; train control systems; device for automatically stopping the train in case of overheating of axle boxes. SUBSTANCE: device has cylinder with piston secured on axle box. Hole is made in one of end face walls of cylinder to pass piston rod. Cover is installed over the hole on above-indicated end face wall. Hole is made in zone formed under piston in cylinder wall to connect cylinder with brake main line and temperature sensitive member is installed. Piston is spring-loaded in cylinder at side opposite to rod and luminous mark is made on rod. Piston is secured in lowermost position by temperature sensitive member manufactured of easily melting material. Direct-acting valve in piston body is adjusted for pressure of 4-4.4 kgs/cm2 and is connected through brake main line with atmosphere. Thread for attachment of cover is made on side wall of cylinder. Luminous mark is made under cover on cylinder wall. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, improved reliability of operation. 1 dwg
