METHOD OF LAUNCHING FLYING VEHICLE BY MEANS OF EJECTION LAUNCHING TROLLEY WITH BOOSTER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: aeronautical engineering. SUBSTANCE: trolley with flying vehicle placed on it is lowered from hump changing to horizontal section and then to rising section coated with ice cover; engines of booster are started, after which rocket engines of flying vehicle are started and coupling of flying vehicle with launching trolley is broken; trolley is decelerated by jet of combustion products of flying vehicle engines acting on board of aft section of ejection trolley and flying vehicle is launched. Rocket engines are used as engines of booster. Combustion products of flying vehicle engine and booster engines are cooled down to decrease thermal loads on ice supporting surface; by the moment of breaking the coupling between flying vehicle and ejection trolley, mass of booster is reduced through separation of head section with board from trolley, after which engines are shifted to higher rating and board of head section is acted on by jet of combustion products of booster- engine.
