VERTICAL WEIGHING-AND-PACKING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: packing loose products in bags of thermally glueing films. SUBSTANCE: device has one drive coupled through belt drive and reduction gear with packing unit, weigher and conveyor. Device has flywheel with eccentric kinematically coupled with rod of weigher and with bracket of shutoff. Eccentric has roller for engagement with spring loaded upper iron forming longitudinal seam of film hose, film being delivered from bobbin to collar of device hollow shaft. In process of operation upper iron is pressed by eccentric roller to film placed on shaft, thus forming longitudinal seam, and lower iron and knife weld the lower part of hose in drawn together position. Rotating eccentric pulls weigher rod coupled with movable bottom which deflects and opens weigher space, thus filling bag with loose product. T the same time lower iron and knife are lifted in upper position and are moved to each other forming upper cross seam of lower bag and lower cross seam of upper bag. Further rotation of eccentric provides simultaneous closing of weigher bottom and opening of cutoff in its upper part to deliver another portion of product, and lower iron and knife, brought together, pull film hose from upper position to lower position, thus providing required length off bag. Knife blade, in its lower position, moving out cuts off bag filled with product. Bag falls on conveyor and is transported outwards the limits of device. At the same time, lower iron and knife are moved away from each other, are fixed in moved away position and are shifted into upper position after which cycle repeats.
