VERTICAL WEIGHING-AND-PACKING MACHINE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: packing of loose products into thermally weldable packs. SUBSTANCE: vertical weighing-and-packing machine has frame with fitted on thermally glued film spool, film pulling mechanism with brake unit, hollow with collar and weigher with hopper above. The following devices are installed on shaft under weigher: spring-loaded upper iron to form longitudinal seam on rolled up film, film hose pulling unit installed for vertical reciprocation and consisting of two parts, and lower iron with spring-loaded cutting member. Machine has five pneumatic cylinders installed on frame. Rods of cylinders are connected, respectively, with weigher, upper iron, film hose pulling unit and with each part of lower iron. Film hose pulling unit has arc-shaped lips which are in tight contact with film when delivering working agent into housing space pushing out rods with lips. Simultaneously rod of pneumatic cylinder moves housing of film pulling hose down-wards through distance set by transmitter, and weigher is filled up with product. In lower position, film hose pulling unit transmitter sends signal to pressure distributor which changes over delivery of working agent piston spaces of pneumatic cylinders. Pulling unit lips recede from shaft, and pulling unit moves upwards. Simultaneously, lower iron is placed into action forming upper seam of lower pack and lower seam of upper pack, cutting off the packs from each other, and weigher is displaced to align its space with space of shaped, lower cover is opened, and metered out product is poured into pack open from top.
