FIELD: leather industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves neutralization, preliminary staining in the same bath at dye consumption 0.5-0.6% of the shaped leather mass, addition tanning with syntans in the presence of plant tanning agent at their ratio = 1:4, respectively, and additional staining at liquid coefficient 0.5-0.6, at 23-25 C. Method involves also the combined process of staining and greasing and leather finishing involving two-fold polishing and applying the fat coating at fat consumption 200-300 g/m2. Method is used for the buffed-grain leather making from cattle hides. EFFECT: improved method of making. 1 tbl
