FIELD: leather industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves chrome tanning in the presence of magnesium compound at amount 0.4-0.5% of the depilated hide mass, neutralization in the presence of the greasing emulsion and additional tanning with tanning agents at liquid coefficient 0.5-0.6, at 20-25 C followed by staining, greasing, treatment with organic acid in the presence of aluminium tanning compounds at amount 0.8-1.2% of the shaped leather mass (as measured for aluminium oxide) and 0.8-1.0% anionic dye. Before pressing additional applying the fat coating is carried out at fat consumption 200-300 g/m2. Method is used for special leather making from cattle hides.
