FIELD: mining processes. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing metals from ores at their bedding place, in particular, to extracting manganese from carbonate ores by underground leaching technique using hydrochloric and sulfuric acids. Leaching is carried out in two steps: by hydrochloric acid solution in the first step and by hydrochloric and sulfuric acid mixture in the second step. From productive solution, manganese concentrate is precipitated by crude magnesium oxide. In the second step, a part of mother solution after separation of concentrate is evaporated, dehydrated magnesium chloride is subjected to thermal decomposition, and magnesium oxide and hydrogen chloride produced are returned into process cycle. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process.
