FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for construction, reconstruction or strengthening of subsurface tunnels of various applications in areas with hard engineering and geological conditions. Underground suspended tunnel for ensuring and fixing its design positioning has hangers and main load-bearing bandage stretched above ground surface. It is arranged above towers buried in ground which is reliable as to its load-bearing capacity and is elevated above ground surface at both sides of tunnel, and by means of end guys is secured in buried anchoring pillars. Flexible or rigid hangers are arranged uniformly over tunnel length. They penetrate through ground layer above tunnel and are connected by their lower ends to load-bearing structures of tunnel lining by means of anchoring devices, and by their upper ends - to load-bearing bandage made of steel ropes. Towers are interconnected in pairs across tunnel with formation of gantries which are located at calculated distance from each other along tunnel in ground sections which are otherwise dangerous and unreliable as to load-bearing capacity.
