FIELD: determination of microamounts of rhodium. SUBSTANCE: claimed method comprises opening the samples and preparing catalytically active rhodium solution with mixture of sodium periodate and acid. The acid includes 2.0-4.0 ml of concentrated perchloric acid, and treatment is carried out by evaporation to moistened salts. The resulting residue is dissolved in distilled water to certain volume and said residue is then ready for kinetically determining rhodium. The claimed method is carried out as follows. To the solution to be analyzed which contains 0.05-2.0 mcg of rhodium are added 2.0-4.0 ml of concentrated perchloric acid and 2.0-5.0 ml of 0.1 M sodium periodate and the whole is evaporated to moistened residue. moistened salts are dissolved in distilled water, and the volume is brought to 10 ml. The resulting catalytically active solution is used for kinetic determinations. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 3 tbl
