FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: glow-discharge tube consists of two coaxial tubes made of optically transparent material with cathode and anode positioned at end faces. Space between tubes is filled with operating gas. Cathode and anode are made as coaxial cylindrical cups arranged on ends of internal and external tubes, respectively, so that one end face of cathode is inserted into internal tube, and anode embraces external tube coaxially. Internal tube is continued behind anode. In addition, metal tube is arranged inside glow-discharge tube coaxially to tubes along the entire length. One end of metal tube with holes made on side surface is located in cathode hollow. EFFECT: improved functioning. 2 cl, 1 dwg
