FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: at one end, lug is made in the form of contact member and at the other end, in the form of tubular tail-piece the hollow of which is designed to receive end of conductor along which clamping element is provided. The latter is manufactured as self-braking wedge with longitudinal recess the form of which corresponds to that of mating part of conductor surface. Form of tail-piece internal surface corresponds to form of mating part of conductor surface on one side, and on the opposite side it corresponds to form of mating part of wedge surface. Generatrices of tail-piece internal surface in its axial section are inclined to each other with symmetry plane at angle equal to wedge sharpening angle. Mating parts of wedge surface and of internal surface of tail-piece are of cylindrical form, wedge surface radius being smaller than tail-piece surface radius.
