SUBSTANCE: method involves recording of first information signal as parallel skew first-type tracks which have given space between each skew track, recording of second information signal as skew second-type tracks which width is less than width of first-type skew tracks. Two second-type tracks are located between each two adjacent first-type tracks. Azimuth angle (skew angle) of first-type tracks is equal to different given values for subsequent tracks in periods. Skew angle of second-type tracks differs from first-type one which is located between them. This format may be used by consumers since it provides possibility to store both high-resolution TV signal and standard VHS signal on same tape.
