SUBSTANCE: digital camcorder has video camera responding to light images for feeding signals in single block mode and circuits responding to video signals coming from video camera in single block mode to shape segments of compressed digital video signal suited to decoding by means of decoder compatible with MPEG-2 standard decoding device; compressed digital signal arriving from circuits for shaping compressed digital video signal segments suited to decoding by MPEG-2 standard decoding device are used as input signal of assembler that links data and frames; sync blocks arriving from assembler function in modulator as modulating signal controlling generation of modulation without zero reset and passed to recorder for electromagnetic recording in the form of electromagnetic oscillations along magnetic record medium surface.
