FIELD: gas treatment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for scrubbing gases to remove dust and cool gases, as well as to remove fine aerosols and process and aspiration release dust, in particular, ash particles of smoke fumes from boiler plants and industrial furnaces is provided with turbulence generator made in the form of unit containing Venturi-profiled channels. The channels constituting consecutive series of Venturi profiles are formed by loosely installed a pair of horizontal profiled plates with holes in their convergent parts to locally feed liquid into channels. Installing shutter makes it possible to shut off gas supply into a part of channels thereby providing necessary condition for functioning of open channels. Shutoff gates installed on liquid entries into each channel enable shutting off supply of liquid into channels closed with respect to gas. Availability of interchannel space filled with liquid promotes cooling of channel walls. EFFECT: enhanced gas treatment efficiency. 3 cl, 3 dwg
