MACHINE TOOL FOR WORKING STONE BLOCKS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for cutting and polishing stone, possibly production of architectural products. SUBSTANCE: machine tool includes struts 1 with beams 3 and movable frame arranged on said struts by means of levers 7,8,9 and provided with mechanism 5 for cutting and mechanism 6 for grinding and polishing. Machine tool also includes carriage 27 with rotary platform 28 mounted on rails 26 with possibility of reciprocation motion. Novelty is joint-type connection of frame 4 with two pairs of parallel levers 7,8 joined with lead screw 23 through diagonally arranged stops 25 and jointly connected with levers 9 mounted on beams 3 and joined with lead screw 21. Disc saw 12 of cutting mechanism 5 is placed at side of frame 4: grinding and polishing mechanism 6 is placed in front of frame 4 on plate 17 rotating around axle 14 mounted in upper part of frame 4. Levers 8 are mutually joined by plate 10. At operation frame 4 with mechanisms 5,6 is moved to necessary position in horizontal and vertical planes by means of lead screws 21,23 respectively. Carriage 27 with stone 28 is driven to reciprocation motion. Working tool is driven to rotation for successively cutting, grinding and polishing stone block. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 3 dwg
