MACHINE-TOOL FOR WORKING OF STONE PLATES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: stone-working departments. SUBSTANCE: machine-tool is used for roughing, grinding and polishing of natural-stone plates such as marble and granite. Machine-tool has interconnected central and external cranks and bend-and-lever system. The latter is made as hinged four-link chain (parallelogram). External crank serves as its base, and vertically-oriented post secured on hinged vertical upright and bean carrying spindle assembly and electric motor are used as side walls. Upper ends of post and beam are coupled to each other by means of tie-rod. Mechanism which presses grinding head to stone plate is made as a spiral brace hinge-connected to vertical upright attached to central crank and to external crank. Spindle assembly is coupled to grinding head through double-hinge coupling. EFFECT: simplification of construction, reduced metal capacity and price of machine-tool. 2 cl, 2 dwg
