FIELD: preparation of concrete mixes without wet heat treatment. SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises steps of mixing together binder, fillers and mixing water, in which glycerol is preliminarily dissolved in amount 0.05-0.3% based on weight of cement. Mixture thus-obtained is subjected to mechanical activation at end of stage 1 of structure formation process. Inventive novelty of proposed method resides in following features: sand-cement mix is mixed with water taken in calculated amount required to achieve mixing of sand and cement and containing calculated amount of glycerol. Remaining portion of water containing concrete setting accelerator and coarse-grain filler are introduced into concrete mix after pre-mixing latter for 1.5-2.5 min. As said concrete setting accelerator, method employs "relaxol" which represents spent absorptive solution used for wet cleaning of coke gas, "relaxol" being added to concrete mix in amount 0.5-2.5% based on weight of cement. It is also possible to use, as said concrete setting accelerator, sodium thiosulfate added in amount 0.5-2.5% based on weight of cement.
