FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: twinning machine can be used in machine building, metallurgy, aerospace engineering to produce ropes with various geometric and physical characteristics. Twinning machine includes a rotor, on which charging coils with wire are installed, adjusting tension unit, crimping unit, tension unit of the rope, rope winding unit. Rope tensioning unit and the rope winding unit are made in the form of a tensioner drum. Adjusting tension unit is made in the form of pressing plates. Crimping unit is made in the form of a disk with a hole and rigidly fixed relatively to the rotor at a distance providing a stride pitch of 7 to 11 diameters of the twinning rope. Angle between the wire and the normal to the rope is adjusted in the range from 16 to 20 degrees. Ratio of the angular rotational speeds of the rotor and the tensioner drum is adjusted in the range of 25–30.

EFFECT: technical result consists in optimal design of the device due to its execution in the form of modules, the constant maximum tension of the twinning wires, eliminating the need to organize a separate workplace; this allows to solve the problem of winding ropes with diameters up to 1/10 to ½ millimeters of wires of dissimilar materials, saving production areas, simplifying repairs.
