FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: gas-containing working is selected, air is supplied into it at the initial flow rate, the absolute gas content is measured, and a coal extraction method is selected. Additionally, the initial relative gas content is determined, and the initial and relative gas content ratio conditions are determined. After that, the maximum air flow rate and the initial coal extraction rate are calculated for the outlet face of the stope. The coal extraction rate is then increased from the initial one to the allowable value, with the methane content in the stope return reaching the allowable limit. The absolute and relative gas contents, their initial values, and the change rates are measured at the same time. Based on the measurement results, the allowable load on the stope by the gas factor is calculated, at the initial coal extraction rate, variable values of absolute and relative gas contents, and their change rates, using the formula.
EFFECT: increased coal extraction capacity, decreased gas hazard during work in stopes, and enhanced mine performance.
