FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: two signals corresponding to object position at two spatial points are numbered and subjected to narrow-band digital filtering. Corresponding zero-points of transition are registered by obtained quasi-harmonic oscillations through zero from bottom to top, and delay time and respective speed of object are determined by counting the number of digitization periods in interval between zero- points. Device has transducers 1 and 2 positioned at some distance and connected to digitizers 3 and 4 controlled by clock-pulse generator 13. Outputs of digitizers are connected to inputs of two-channel digital processing unit 5 with digital resonators 6 and 7 and nullindicators 8 and 9, respectively. Device generates commands for alternate switching-on/off of clock pulse counter 10 counting the number of periods of oscillations coming from generator 13 within interval between switching on and off. Speed calculation unit 11 converts this number to speed which is shown by indicator 12. EFFECT: higher measurement results. 2 cl, 3 dwg
