FIELD: geophysical explorations, in particular, search for underground objects and cavities at archaeological prospecting. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in installation of electrodes at a preset spacing on the surface under examination in points of a right-angles net. The spacing between electrodes is commensurable with the linear dimensions of the minimum probable object of search. Measurements of the seeming resistivity are taken in parallel profiles, the measurement spacing and the distance between the adjacent profiles do not exceed a half of the minimum linear dimension of the smallest object of search. The values of resistivity are compared with separation of the abnormal area, the boundary area is separated around its edges and additional measurements are taken in it; the specified boundary of the object of search is determined according to the results of the additional measurement. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 4 dwg
