FIELD: engineering; microwave devices designed for overload protection of high-sensitivity receiver input and for preventing its failure under effect of own transmitter signal or high-power external signal. SUBSTANCE: microwave power limiter has transmission-line section, λTL/2 in length, where λTL is wavelength in transmission line; one end of this section functions as input and its other end, as output; device also has auxiliary transmission-line section, λTL in length, made in the form of semi-ring and connected to start and finish of main transmission-line section through detector and p-i-n diodes. The latter are interconnected on DC side through their unlike-polarity electrodes. Additional p-i-n diode is series-connected to auxiliary transmission-line section and its unlike-polarity electrodes are connected on DC side to detector diode and to first p-i-n diode.
