FIELD: instruments for conversion of infrared images to visible light, in particular, for military equipment, medical devices, security systems, fire detection, industrial checking up. SUBSTANCE: device has lens, detection unit which has multiple element photodetector, which is connected to electronic signal processing unit, and monitor. Photodetector has two or three types of sensitive elements which differ in their spectral characteristics. Sensitive elements of one type are connected to monitor electrodes for brightness of one color (blue, green or red). Another claim of invention describes device design in which photodetector sensitive elements of one type are arranged in rows which are parallel to rows of sensitive elements of other types, while monitor has parallel rows of light-emitting diodes of different colors which are connected to corresponding elements of photodetector. In this case scanner is introduced between lens and photodetector. Yet another claim of invention describes device design in which photodetector sensitive elements of each type are arrange in matrices with time delay and accumulation in direction of image scanning. In this case they are connected to color cathode-ray tube through multiplexer. EFFECT: increased information capacity by order of 2-2!5. 3 cl, 1 dwg
