FIELD: foundry, applicable for manufacture of plunger castings of aluminium alloys with chilling space. SUBSTANCE: plunger chill mould has a detachable body, central metal core and a salt core forming the space for casting chilling. For fixing the salt plunger on the bosses of the metal core use is made of flexible tags entering the holes of the salt core in interference fit, thus preventing its floating-up after casting of liquid metal in the mould.
