FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the foundry. Spent nuclear fuel transportation and storage container body manufacturing method includes the shell manufacture, the center rod on a metal pallet installation and fixing. Cover on the chill mold upper end installation, the liquid ferritic cast iron with spheroidal graphite pouring into the cavity between the chill mold and the center rod through the gate system. In the center rod, the pipe is coaxially installed, forming the void. Installing the refrigerator over the center rod end. Installing the upper plate over the molding core. Installing the load on the upper plate, then filling the cavity with liquid ferritic cast iron with spheroidal graphite through the gate system. After the ferritic cast iron crystallization, the mold is disassembled. Resulting casting is machined. Performing the mounting surfaces lining with nickel-containing material for the inner and outer covers installation.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the casting defects in the casting occurrence probability.
