FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, metal cladding by energy of explosion; may be used in manufacture of plain bearings which consist of steel base coated with layer of antifriction aluminum-tin alloy AO20-1. SUBSTANCE: method provides for assembly of package of cladding and cladding sheets arranged in pairs and explosive charge placed between adjacent cladding sheets. Package is assembled between supports and cladding sheets are arranged as extreme ones. In this case, closed hollow is formed between pair of cladding sheets. The plant for cladding by explosion energy has base 1 in the form of frame from which two supports 2 are suspended. Supports 2 are connected with base 1 by means of axles 3 is installed in bearings and located above centers of gravity of supports connected to each other by connector.
