FIELD: plastic working of metals. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing tube 2 within tube 1 in spaced relation to it, with tube 1 being obtained by deposition on mandrel under the action of blasting energy followed by thermal treatment and tube 2 being cut to initial nonuniform-thickness portions. Cylindrical explosive charge 3 positioned inside thin-walled tube 4 made from tight material is incorporated within tube 1. The whole pack is located in composite die, detonation is initiated and blast welding and simultaneously partial molding are effectuated. The pack is then subjected to thermal treatment and final molding. EFFECT: improved quality of bodies by increased strength of layer joining and uniform thickness of plating layer. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
