FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: outboard motor includes engine and reduction gear arranged in hull, stern tube assembly with torsion drive shaft located in it, propeller shaft with RH propeller, LH propeller and reversible unit with engagement rod. Reduction gear includes stem-pinion thrown into engagement with two driven gears fitted on propeller shaft; hollow tail-pieces of these gears are directed to opposite sides. Clutch fitted between driven gears has projections for engagement with driven gear whose hollow tail-piece is directed towards side opposite to RH propeller. LH propeller is mounted on hollow tail-piece of driven gear directed towards RH propeller and extending beyond reduction gear housing. Located between this driven gear and clutch is thrust bearing. Torsion dive shaft is kinematically linked with drive stem-pinion of reduction gear through reversible unit. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 5 cl, 5 dwg
