FIELD: metallurgy, in particular steelmaking.
SUBSTANCE: invention and can be used to improve efficiency of metal refining in the ladle with an upper heat-resistant blow-through tuyere. The tuyere consists of a layer of heat-resistant concrete, made in form of a single cylindrical product, strung on a metal pipe, with a through hole in the lower part for metal blow-through. The value of the height H of the heat-resistant concrete layer and the height h1 between the lower end of the refractory concrete and the central axis of the through hole is made with the following dimensional ratios: Н=(20-30)D, h1 = (0.2-2.0)D, where: H is the height of the heat-resistant concrete layer, mm; D is the diameter of the heat-resistant concrete layer, mm; h1 is the height between the lower end of the heat-resistant concrete and the central axis of the through hole (3), mm.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the service life of the upper heat-resistant blow-through tuyeres by 44% on average from 900 min to 1300 min.
