FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: engine has cylinder with head and piston connected with output shaft, combustion chamber, crank chamber. Piston has cavity accommodating projection rigidly coupled with head and dividing, together with piston, cylinder space into main and compression chambers. Main chamber is arranged in circular space limited by surfaces of piston, head, cylinder and projection and provided with exhaust and scavenging ports connected by channels with crank chamber and communicates with combustion chamber. Compression chamber is arranged under projection, is coupled with source of rich fuel-air mixture and communicates through channel with combustion chamber. Channels connecting main and compression chambers with combustion chamber are made in projection. Crank chamber is connected to air cleaner through exhaust port. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics owing to increase in maximum pressure of working gases at limited increase in mechanical and heat stresses of engine. 3 dwg
