FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel-injection internal combustion engines. According to invention, working cylinder is made en-bloc with compression cylinder. The latter accommodates sleeve with intake ports, opposite to groove in compression cylinder, communicating with intake channel close to which nozzle is installed. One port of sleeve is connected with nozzle. Compression cylinder has cutoff valve in form of cup with spring and seat formed by bead inside sleeve and it communicates with combustion chamber through connecting channels and additional cutoff valves. Connecting channels are located in cylinder head tangentially to surface of combustion chamber, projection of their axes on cylinder longitudinal section plane being arranged at angle of 20-150o to longitudinal axis of working cylinder. Compression piston mechanically coupled by slider-crank or rodless mechanisms with working piston also connected with engine shaft is installed inside sleeve. Compression piston is installed relative to working one with 5-140o advance in phase. Volume of sleeve space equals 5-50% of working cylinder volume. Diaphragms is installed under working piston lower than outlet channel, outer contour of diaphragm corresponds to contour of working piston. Underpiston and overpiston spaces are connected with non-return valve by scavenging channel. Invention makes it possible to increase power output and provide stability of operation owing to reduced consumption of fuel.
