FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: inertia synchronizer has carriage, fork with engagement teeth, two conical friction rings with cavities, pins with interlocking conical grooves, detent consisting of split pins with recesses and resilient members. Recesses for split pins of detents in friction rings are made in form of slots arranged in circumferential direction symmetrically to radii of friction ring, passing through centers of slots and limited in circumferential direction by curvilinear surfaces. Shape of curvilinear surfaces corresponds to shape of outer surfaces of detent split pins. Centers of curvilinear surfaces are located on circumference whose radius is equal to radius of circumference on which holes for split pins of detent are located in synchronizer carriage.
