FIELD: mechanical engineering; shut-off fittings mounted in mains and pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: ball cock includes body with inner cavity to which inlet and outlet branch pipes for working medium adjoin, nonmetallic gaskets provided with spherical sealing surface and engageable with ball lock. Cock is provided with plate spring. Gaskets are located directly in inner cavity of body. Plate spring adjoins gasket through metal plate. Cock body is provided with equalizing compartment connected with inner cavity of lock via bypass passage when cock is in CLOSED position.
