FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery; dampened fixation of vertebral column subjected to operative treatment in cases of injury of disease. SUBSTANCE: proposed damping endoprosthesis comprises two, telescopically connected, cylindrical elements. Four-face pins are formed at axial ends of these elements, while calibrated spring is mounted between axial end of elements, in channels formed in their interior. Compression strength of spring depends on specific purpose of endoprosthesis, namely: whether it is intended for use in thoracic, cervical or lumbar segments of vertebral column. Side surfaces of cylindrical elements are provided with mating longitudinal fin and slot adapted to receive fin, slot and fin being intended to prevent rotation of elements in relation to each other.
