FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: scraper conveyor has working member drive mechanism, fixed base inside which chute-like working member is arranged for reciprocating relative to fixed base along guides secured on fixed base, and scrapers with stops hinge secured in upper portion of fixed base and installed for rocking inside movable chute. Permanent magnets in form of rectangular plates are built into chute bottom across the width. Plates are installed with pitch over chute length equal to t1= t where t is pitch of scrapers equal to pitch of working member; t1>(1,5-2)B where B is maximum overall size of transported article of discontinuous chips.
