FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: product: substituted imidazoles of the formula (I) where R⁶ - C₂-C₆-alkyl; R⁷ - vinyl, lower cycloalkylidenyl, phenylalkynyl where alkynyl moiety has 2-6 carbon atoms, 2- or 3-furyl, biphenylyl, phenoxyphenyl, phenylthio, pyridylthio or 3-mercaptophenylthio, methylthio; R⁸ means (CH₂)_n-CH₂OH or -C(O)H; R¹³ - tetrahydrazolyl or -COOH; n = 1-10; r = 1-2; or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. Compound (I) and the indicated salts show antihypertensive activity. Invention describes also pharmaceutical composition containing compound (I) or its indicated salts.
