FIELD: gasoline production. SUBSTANCE: catalytic reforming of gasoline fractions is carried out in an assembly consisting of 4 or more reactors. The first reactor is charged with one or two beds of catalyst containing Pt/Re and 0.05-0.5 wt % Cl on alumina, process being carried out at elevated pressure and temperature 400-480 C. When two catalyst beds are charged, the first one (in direction of raw material flow) is supplemented with cadmium and percentage of first-bed catalyst is 5-60% on the total charge weight. The other reactors employ catalyst containing Pt, Re, and 0.6- 1.5 wt % Cl on alumina, temperature of process being 450-550 C. Yield of reformat is increased from 83.8 to 85.8% and octane number of gasoline from 90.7 to 94.7. EFFECT: improved yield and anti-knock property of gasoline. 2 cl, 2 tbl
