FIELD: mining industry; may be used in ventilation of deep open pits. SUBSTANCE: method includes cyclic movement of large volume gas-containing shell in open pit space from its surface to stagnant zone and back. In so doing each cycle is accomplished by filling of portion of fresh air inside shell, replacement of fresh air in stagnant zone with foul air, and transfer of polluted air portion to surface of open pit, and its replacement with fresh air. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
